Publication Ethics & Malpractice

AJECR is committed to the highest standards of publication ethics and academic integrity. The journal follows ethical principles broadly aligned with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Authors must

  • submit original work not under review elsewhere
  • cite sources appropriately and acknowledge contributions
  • disclose conflicts of interest
  • provide accurate data and honest reporting
  • confirm relevant ethics approvals where required

Reviewers must

  • treat manuscripts confidentially
  • provide objective and timely reviews
  • disclose conflicts of interest
  • offer respectful, constructive feedback

Editors will

  • make decisions based on scholarly merit
  • maintain confidentiality and editorial independence
  • investigate ethical concerns, including allegations of misconduct

Misconduct (e.g., plagiarism, fabrication, falsification) may result in rejection, retraction, and/or notification to relevant institutions.
